Just find an HX35w with a billion miles on it or broken shaft or whatever, grab it cheap, and fight the exhaust housing off of it. You've got a 12cm, 'gated housing for cheaper than whatever you could get a non-'gated housing for.

92 D350 Cab and Chassis. Auto stock, wiring gremlins. 330k miles
92 W250 Ext cab rotted completely out. Auto, pump maxed, 215 ppump nozzles, Denny T2 pin.
85 D350 single wheel, converted to cummins, getrag, turned up 2 turns and afc screw flush.

Alright, here's an interesting result. Took the die grinder to the top of my afc. Looks much like the one pictured above. Ran the star wheel up as high as I could without making contact with the top. Ran more smokey and r hotter. I ran the start wheel down in half turn increments and found that it ran the cleanest and strongest with it bottomed. How does that make sense? At that setting, I actually slipped the clutch in third. Hopefully that was just because it was hot. I had been beating on it pretty hard. Egts still won't break 900

Have you checked for boost leaks?
