Yea, a second gen intercooler, hmm I thought it was cool lol this truck has always ran so hot that 1300 wasn't so bad, but I can see as where It could be cooler

When I ran an he351cw, and 72lpm marine injectors.........I ran (with the gate opening at 40) 50psi at 1600+ degrees. With skipped a tooth on the timing and retarded about an 1/8" + timing spacer.

So if you ran 1600+ at say 45 lbs, 1300 at 30lbs should be about right with less timing I would think, could be wrong tho

I run 1350-1400 at 37-40 psi and ~2000 rpm (gate wired shut), stock injectors with 12k in tow up a hill. stock timing other than spacer.

just for comparison.

Also one of my buddy's mentioned the fuel shutoff solenoid, I checked and made sure it had 12 volts, but can I check it another way or is that it?

I was referring to how much boost/egt I was seeing with an injector your size.

With an he351cw........if you are under 40 psi, your egt should be under 1200. If they are not, you are either pulling heavy, or don't have much timing. 30ish at over 1200..... something is wrong. That turbo can cool better than that, if it is getting that hot, the turbo has the fueling to give it a lot more boost.

I'm thinking potential boost leak.........but I still feel there is a fueling issue somewhere.

You checked the pin for movement, but did you check to make sure the fuel pin is travelling down all the way and leaving a track mark? Maybe a pinhole in the diaphragm rubber could keep it from getting full downward travel. Couldn't hurt to pressure test the whole system for boost leaks.

So I got to lookin on my truck last weekend and found 1boost clamp that was half off so I put that back on correctly tightened the rest, (slightly loose) I also found that for whatever reason the spring mechanism on the throttle bracket has a stop on it, and I was hitting it only getting about 3/4 travel, I cut the stop off allowing it to travel to full throttle which got me up to 36lbs of boost .(srry I didn't grab a picture of what I'm talking about)
It goes up to 30lbs of boost in the snap of a finger and then starts to drop off.
So I'm thinking of welding the wastegate shut for extra assurance, how should I do this? Should I weld the puck on the inside or just the lever on the outside

Also with the extra throttle brought me extra fuel( obviously), I can hit 1500 degrees on the pyro now with extra fuel on the top end.
So I'm thinking there is some air issues as well now like RCC had mentioned
