Nitrile/buna vs viton

Postby spencerdiesel » Sat Feb 10, 2018 8:18 am

What type of seals material-wise are used in our trucks fuel systems from the factory? I'm finally beginning to get my WMO setup going and using gas containing percentages of ethanol for a thinning agent has me wondering about what material the seals are made of?

Based on some brief research, viton would be most desirable in exposure to almost anything, but viton is expensive and I doubt they are used in the factory fuel systems?

There is eth free gas in my area, but it is mostly 90 octane or higher. Lower octane is more desireable for WMO thinning.
