does anyone know or maybe have thought about trying to stick the 8.3 in a dodge truck I have only seen pics but seems to me that there the same block as the 5.9 I dont know I havent seen one up close and personal but I think it could be worth a shot if anyone could give some details to this I might have one bought

There was I guy a few years ago put one in a early 90's Ford crew cab. He was a TDR member.

The rear two cylinders were under the dash board. The firewall was cut out all the way to the bottom of the windshield and it was still a tight fit on height. Everything inside the truck for a dash had to be fabbed. Also massive floor board rework.

They aren't even close to being the same block. The 6c weighs almost twice as much since it is a wet sleeve block. It is also about 4 inches longer and 7 inches taller. It would be a ton of work and fabrication to shoehorn one into a pickup truck.

They are 505 cubic inches. AS said above , bigger. Make good lobsterboat motors.
