3 ply silicone hose?

Is 3 ply enough? I was just on the Bay and found a reducer hose and clamps for $16 and shipping. It says 240 psi burst and 80 psi working pressure. Good enough? It's not a hump hose and it looks real short, only 3 inches long.

AKA as Frozen boost. com. Same company.
These were only 3 inces long also. Kinda are cheesy but get the job done. The worst part was shipping was pricey....

Mine are all 3 ply silicone hump hoses. I got a 3 to 2.5 hump reducer off ebay one time, but I don't see any on there now.
92 W250 ext cab 518, big sticks, a-1000, PDR HX40, 4" exhaust w/aeroturbine, pump tweaked, K&N filter Tims Cooler tubes and 3" i/c, gauges

Pete I got a 2.5" to 3" if you need one. It is blue. You will need clamps. Call me tomorrow night if you want it.

Richie, only 200 psi burst and 50 working pressure. Not much margin there. :shock:

Ya... I don't think I will be at 50 psi ever. I run 35 tops. I need to buy a 2.5 coupler but the shipping is more than the part.

Vibrant is the way to go. Their web site is http://www.vibrantperformance.com/
I have used most of their product. Their silicon hoses are great. I run 45psi+ all the time and have never had an issue. Also check out their exaust fabrication components. Handy stuff to have around the shop. :thumleft:

I believe the boost hoses in the TDR magazine which failed under 35 were three ply. The owner had somebody wrench on the truck and THOUGHT they were the heavy MR.B hoses to be installed. Guess not.

Blew the hole side apart.

I would watch out on those clamps, looks like regular hose clamps, no way they are going to hold,

I will look again and see if I can find something,
