Pump top with no afc lever can and will still leak via the fuel pin/green o-ring. With no fuel pin, there's an opening in the afc bore, allowing lots of fuel to pour into the afc area and out the afc vent.

As kta mentioned, do you have a absurdly ground afc cone? That will allow the pin to enter the afc bore too far and leak fuel. Or maybe your fuel pin is worn too thin, who knows, time to part the truck out and sell the pump to me LOL.

Sounds like you've got a couple options. 1, rotate your ground fuel cone to the stock side so the fuel pin doesn't ride out too far and allow fuel to enter afc bore. 2, do like the guy on dtr did, take the appropriate sized drill bit, 5/16" maybe, cut down to size, slightly longer than the stock fuel pin, polish it, now you'd have a longer fuel pin, with all travel and full use of afc. Go over there and look for it, should be within the first 2 or 3 pages. Just have to cipher through all the 'how do I change my tire' threads or 'what does D and W mean' etc etc...

Most rednecks would bubblegum something on the cone to build it back up. ;)
