Let the rig warm up and went out to load up a buddy's truck. Didn't leave mine running while we winched his rig up (blew the driveshaft) thought that it would still be warm 35min later.

Started up a 20deg incline and all the sudden had a lurch and sounded like my engine was going to come through the cab.

Pulled over and found my exhaust manifold in 3 pieces!!!!!


AAARRRGGGHH!!

That is unusual. Might want to check if you have some broke mtor mounts. I have seen those fail and let the engine move enough to crash the exhaust into stuff. It could probably even put enough weight on it to break the manifold. I wouldn't think it would break just from the cold unless it was ahuge temperature swing like start it up cold and tromp on it pulling a load.

Yep....ripped the driverside mount.. Can see where my dp hit the firewall...

luckily I have a new set of mounts...bad news is now I have to splurge for the ATS......

Hers- 04 QC 4x4. Built auto, Triple Dog, Air Dog. Funny Round truck that aint so quiet.

yep....at least I have a very good excuse for the wife....pulling the remaining parts and laying them out.

Anyone recall a set of polyurethane mounts that is (were) available for our beasts ?
'93 W250CC, 5 speed, 3.54's, pump tweaks, NV4500 conversion, straight piped, 33's. Also, have '03 3500 QC 4WD dually, 551HP/ 1008 TQ @ MATS '07

The ATS is a nice manifold.
