injection pump leaking

My injection pump was leaking tonight on the side closest to the fender any idea what it is ? Also when my friend shut it off I heard what sounded like air being sucked in by the exhaust, this is my first diesel and everythings scaring me haha

There are quite a few places on that side that could be leaking, KSB, shutdown lever o-ring, etc. Try and get 'er dryed off and run it for a minute and see if you can spot where it's coming from. Re-seal kits for the VE are plenty cheap

It's leaking from underneath the spring that's underneath the tps

Sounds like the o ring on the trottle shaft. The noise you heard from the exhaust is normal. When the engine is stopped, it takes a second or three for the turbo to stop spinning, it will make a little noise when doing so, like the sound of air moving.

x2 on the throttle shaft seal. Might as well throw a gov spring in while you're in there. You can get a seal kit & spring for less than $50.
