full power screw

Previous setup:
Denny t stage ll
starwheel down
high idle screw delete

Well I turned up my full power screw until run away then backed it off a hair. Noticed a tad bit more smoke on free rev.romping on it I could notice a good bit more smoke.... at wot no smoke..... I couldn't tell a differance in power .... Idk if its my engine or tranny.... I have a 89 727... hardly tell trans shifts and it seems like my rpms jump up instead of gradual .... just wonder if my tranny is soaking up the power or something wrong with my engine... btw it still won't burnout

Your Trans is probably slipping and your lift pump may not be able to keep up with the fuel demand of the injection pump

I agree with this. I put on a new stock pump shortly after I turned up the fuel, so I can't say how a worn stock LP will work with a turned up pump. A low pressure piston lift pump adds a noticable amount of fuel over a healthy stock LP
