Bad IP leak

Postby GO OVRIT » Mon Feb 06, 2012 6:04 pm

Fuel started dumping out between the main body and the pump head. Can that big o-ring be replaced with the pump on the truck? What has to be taken apart prior to unbolting the pump head?

Nope, you gotta pull the pump. Lots of siht to fall out in that area. I was going to totally reseal my pump, so I got a 4b pump to use as a test unit, Needless to say I just swapped the front seal and called it good!

I should have clarified a little, the pump needs to be tipped up some to keep the parts in when assembling. The springs and stuff will fall out if it's flat. It's not that bad to do, I just didn't feel like taking on that project when I didn't really need to.
Good luck with it! ;)
