DAP 7x10s: trouble FIXED

Postby ellis93 » Tue Mar 06, 2012 10:47 am

Finally got the 366 spring installed in my pump and finished up my reseal and KDP tabed. Moved on to extract my old injectors and install the injectors I bought from Diesel Auto Power. I primed the pump and had my brother spin the motor over as I closed the injector lines, one by one as they sprayed fuel.
Truck fired up after 4 lines were tight and had me hurrying to tighten the rest. Truck ran but idled at about 1200rpms. So I decided I needed to back it off some. As I back the idle screw out the motor started to run rougher and developed a miss, which it has never had in the 8yrs I've owned it. After I set the idle at about 900rpms I started cracking lines to find the weak cylinder, I found ,number one to be the one with no noticeable drop off.

My question is; what could go wrong here :(

I swear, sometimes I should really just leave well enough alone.
Tried calling Jkidd and wound up leaving a voice mail. Called again and got a lady on the phone, told her I had problems and she's supposed to have a guy in her "tech dept" call me back :?:
IDK how they're gonna make that injector fire over the phone but I'm waiting patiently

Unless you're sure it's the injector, maybe you should try to put that injector in another cylinder. That would rule out the IP I think

I was doing that as you were typing that in.

From my dealings with him he has been very good. I have bought a few things from him and was happy. He is very busy, but thats not a bad thing. If he is busy, then it means he is moving product. I would buy from him again in a second. PTOOMBS on the other hand, he sucks!!!! Its been a while pete so I had to slam you. :bom:

Ellis, I think they should just get a room, but that's just me.
Then again, I haven't been to the wood shed in a while, so maybe I should just shut up.

Oh yeah, sorry to hear about your injector problem (keeping it on topic for ya')!

Mark.

Man,this S is getting to me. Its been 5weeks since I've got to ride in my truck

Everything I've done to this freakin truck has taken 3X as long for me to do than on ANYTHING else. This thing gets back to gather its NOT getting torn back apart. I've missed some good deals on tractors and a few oak logs cause I've not had it,its costing me more money now :x
Fixin to just go buy a new dodge and be done with it :bom:
