360 starter shims?

360 starter shims?

Anyone have any trouble with starter shims? Just replaced the starter on my 84 W350 with a 360 and the new starter sounds like it "drags"? As in, doesn't fully disengage. A few people have told me that the starter needs a shim but all the parts store claim that they have never heard of a Mopar starter needing a shim.
