Diesels Shouldn't Cackle.......Right?

Postby 89dudney » Wed May 21, 2014 6:46 am

When I rev the engine almost against the governor spring, (366 spring) it pops and almost "cackles" when the rpm level comes back down. What would cause that? Bad injector, too much fuel?

How about a video? I'm having trouble imagining an engine cackling.

How do I post a video? Ill try to get one tonight. and yeah, I know, but when the ricers in town try to race me, I gotta show em up, and sometimes, well, fully pissing the 12 valve off is the only way to do it.

Have you checked fuel psi. Upload the video to photo bucket.
