BHAF is LOUD

Postby nooblet » Mon Feb 18, 2008 2:17 pm

Is it supposed to be this loud? I don't mind it, I just want to make sure I didn't mess something up. It sounds like my ac/heater blower motor is on full blast at about 1.5k rpms

I guess since its not in a nifty little plastic cover you can hear the suction more?

Did You Do a Smokey or Stock Pot-Type mount?

That's probably why you'd want something like a Smokey mount.

It's something moving 100 times as much air as you AC/ heater blower motor and it's moving at 150k rpms. :D

BHAF is Loud. No kidding! Isn't that why you put it on?

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Usually you have to get rid of the muffler so you can hear the exhaust over the engine! :D

What kind of filter is this everyone keeps calling a BHAF? Who makes it? Anybody got a picture comparing the two?

Big Honkin' Air Filter. Just a big filter you put on to get more air flow. There are numbers on the site somewheres, NAPA, Fleetguard, and a few others. ;)
