i've had several 11 second street driven bb mopars fed by holley pumps without any problems (i've used blue pumps and the 250 series with the appropriate regulator). drive the car to the track and back on pump gas. they're kinda noisy compared to some higher $$$ pumps but they work fine. i've also owned bg, aeromotive, and magnafuel components. i suggest any opinions that are thrown on here that may affect someone's purchasing of a part be based on some kind of facts rather than just spewing about things being garbage.
now back to the subject at hand, i've read that a small block chevy block off plate works on the cummins. that give you tons of options if its true. a fuel pressure guage that monitors inlet pressure at the inj pump will help you avoid a burnt pump no matter what brand of transfer pump you decide on.
