Quick Question

Postby whereswaldo250 » Thu May 22, 2008 7:51 pm

Will a turbo mounted exhaust brake have enough room to fit on a 14cm2 housing? I mean will it hit the fire wall?

If anybody has tried this let me know

Thanks :D

I would think it'd work. There is plenty of room with the non gated housing, so though it may be a little snug in there with the gate, it should fit alright.

I had a 14cm2 wastegated housing on my 91.5 w/Pacbreak and it fit just fine . I changed it out for a 16cm2 non wastegated and gained 5#s of boost.(it is also an auto trans)

JHPC, What's your tranny think of that pacbrake when you're going down long grades? Do the temps rise quickly? I never heard much good repor on any exhaust brake with a non lock up trans.
