Torqued Head Bolts now Have Hard Start Problem...

Postby RSWORDS » Wed Apr 01, 2009 5:17 pm

Well last night I re-torqued my head bolts to 120lbs. Now I have a hard start. This truck has ALWAYS started up easy when its warm out, sucks in cold weather but its 60* outside, well now when I go to start the truck I have to hold the pedal down 1/4 way while cranking, runs like crap for about 2 or 3 seconds then clears right up and runs smooth as silk. Sounds/feels like air in lines but I cant find a leak were its leaking down. I disconeccted the injectors when doing he head bolts but they have been bled. Once it starts it runs like there is no problem, I let it idle for 30 min, drove it up the road 20 miles and when you cut if off if you start it right up it starts fine. Let it sit for 10 min and its hard to start. I checked all teh fittings on my 3/8" lines and Walbr pump, dont see a leak... Any ideas? Could the pump be leaking down internaly?

Thanks
Bobby
