In my opinion an HX-35 isn't big enough for a high horse truck. I ran a super HX-40 on my old factory non-intercooled truck, and with an intercooler and W/M I could still hit 1400 degrees on a full throttle run with stock injectors.
Without an intercooler I think a super HX-40 would work great, it will spool about the same as your stock turbo, maybe even a little faster, maybe. You will need a new down pipe though, or at least an adapter.
I've also heard good things about S300's but I have no experience with them, when I was turbo shopping a super 40 was a couple hundred dollars cheaper.
Sold 91 now-intercooled W250, 388WHP 923WTQ on #2 only 423WHP 968WTQ on meth 0% correction.
