how does the shut off sylinoid work

i got a new pump on the way and im runnin a cable shut off right now but was wondering if i could wire the shut off to a switch, is that possible?my wirin harness is all taped up and out of the way and dont really want to undo everything so i was thinkin the switch idea. any thought on how to wire it? thanks guys
'92 D350 cab and chassy,pump turned up with 1/8 timin,coaltriann 6x16 sticks,htt manifold,asa intake cooler tubez,south bend 13" clutch rebuilt G360,ps cooler,industrial super 62 phat shaft turbo,weldin bed.
12 Chevy 3500ltz lifted, deleted, and bed with sae 300 ss hood for new rig

You can put a switch in. It only needs a simple on/off. Just run a hot wire to the switch, then on to the solenoid, done!

then why does it have 2 wires?and which pole do i need to power or does it really matter,the switch on means runnin,off not runnin am i right and i just got my new pump got to wait till thursday night to change it though

The other wire goes back up to a temperature switch that then powers the KSB.
