Did you put a filter in front of the pump to protect it from crap?

haha. no when i got it i changed all the leaking seals, sprayed/degreased the whole engine, lightley pressure washed, removes parts to be powder coated, and painted engine and bay.

Nope. tank to raptor to filter to injection pump. @ 16psi withe new ip seals. a pre filter wouldnt be a bad idea!

Why would a prefilter for the pump be a bad idea? I am not running a raptor, but have dual carters and run a prefilter.Carter even says to. I also have my regulator sets on 16.

I have had to change the prefilter and sure glad I did not let my pump try to digest that stuff.

what prefilter setup are you using? I just want one thats not restrictive and just gets out the big particles.

You could try those inline stainless screens as a prefilter, that's what I was considering before I got my setup.

Something like this:

I had a normal plastic lawnmower filter on mine and it's done alright. It won't flow as much as those screens, but they're cheap and available everywhere.

well its super cold in my neck of the woods. It is 6 degrees outside and my fuel pressure dropped about 3 psi on my raptor 150. My fuel pressure sender is after the filter. It still did it at idle. Im guessing this is normal with really cold temps? I am running #2 diesel and lots of howes diesel additive. Even when its 20-30 it drops about half psi just normal driving.

Whaup with the two lines on the raptor set up? Does it replace the stock return linefrom injextors and pump with a bigger line? Im still running my stock return line with an a1000 and reg? Is there a gain to that setup? And yes an external filter is way cheap! And not restrictave at all and then get a 10x1.5 i believe an fitting grind down the hex on the outside so that it will fit in the pump drill the hole out a bit and feed the pump strait in and do away with all that crap! I am on mobile and cant post pics BUT! I will gladly text someone pics of my setup if they want to post them

So what it feeds the head in 2 places? I did notice the one guy has the normal diaphram pump feed just dangeling there idk if i would do that without the fuel to lube the pump it might cause it to fail and lick up and mess up the cam.... A bbc fuel pump block off fits so i would just get a block off

for the raptor 150 it replaces all your fuel line. some guys leave the old diaphram pump on by just removing the plunger. You keep your original return line. I just put on a block off plate.
