Levi, when you need engine parts, go to the case website and punch in model 621 with the after serial number. Then you can take him the Case part numbers and maybe he'll be happier.
At our place, list price is (i think) 35% above cost. We also have a "fleet" price in between the 2.

Well like i said, there are two different seals, make sure you have the one with just the rubber part, I think the others were more expensive.

I do have good friends at cummins 8)

Huh, mine were rubber with 2 different metal clamps around it. Oh well, they're not doing me any good right now.

I've been considering doing springs on mine. The engine has 245,000. It just feels sort of "flat" to me at anything over cruising speeds. I have a vgt turbo and I know that they are known for higher than normal drive pressures. I'm thinking that the engine loses control of the valves with the excessive pressure on the valves.
The engine seems to make more power at 20 lbs of boost with the turbo "open" than it does at 40 lbs closed down a bit. I guess it could be alot of things, but springs seem to make sense to me.

Levi, you have the right ones, I meant don't get the ones with the tin metal part that sits under the spring.

I put in the 60lb springs(int & ex). The truck definetly responded positively. I would not say it picked up a bunch of power, but it "sharpened up" the way it runs, and it now has a more linear power output when in the higher engine speeds.
I made a valve spring compressor that worked out great for this job. It's similar to the tork brand tool in the fact that it compresses both springs at once, but it has more access to the valve stem locks, and you don't need to remove the head bolt to use it. I was a bit nervous about removing the head bolt and possibly disturbing the head gasket seal, so I came up with a little different way of doing it with this tool.
