Well, I just talked to him, he said that the 3in. tubes and PS intercooler wouldn't make near the difference I'm thinking it will. That's dad, you gotta know him. The thing he was worried about with the PS intercooler was mounting the air conditioning condensor. He said he'd rather just stay stock and not have to worry about it. So I guess it's unneeded spending, oh well.

Whose truck and whose money is this?

If it is your truck and his money, eh. But if it is your money, tell him to shove it and be a man.

I kinda' agree, if Dad is paying for it and insisting his way is right, maybe he's using that position to control what he thinks he knows is right, and rightly so, since it's HIS money in that case.

However, if YOU are paying and Dad is advising and pushing his way onto you, then he's not allowing you to learn a life lesson, which may be YOUR decision to make, good or bad.
If Dad's spending your money poorly, what kind of an example does that set for you, on the same token, what is the example that can be taken away from this experience, if Dad's spending HIS money unwisely?

In a way, this young man could be in a catch 22 situation on this deal. :(

Go for what dad says. I am a grown man and dad doesn't say much about what to do but when he tells me to do something on the truck theres no way around it. Dad made us who we are so now we should be doing what he says :)

I think a custom made new intercooler thats hand welded sounds pretty darn good to me.

Dad will probably end up buying this. I would, but I can't justify spending that much at this time. I'm 17, so it's usually, what dad says goes, kinda thing. Hopefully I'll have it back together by the middle of next week, then I can test it and my new clutch out. Mamaw's got some cows she wants to sell, so I'm going to haul them down to the sale for her.

Is the truck in your name?

No better time to be a man then when it is your stuff.

Good luck on the intercooler... It is like a radiator but way different at the same time.

Wow, you amaze me.
Wasn't it you who was telling me that you couldn't do certain things because the wife/girlfriend wouldn't allow it? :P

Technically, at least in Nebraska, since he's under the age of 19, his Dad is LEGALLY responsible for anything he does.
In Nebraska, you can't even legally own a car until 19.

Being a "man" and taking charge takes a backseat, just because the vagina speaks? :?

I've never understood the mentality of that.

That because you don't have one! Literally or figuritively! ;)

Lucky bastard!

Anyways, back on topic......... Have them build it with larger than stock tubes if possible. If you plan on modding it that will help flow more air.

Ohh, she's already modded plenty. It's hard to keep from burying the Pyro, I'm hopin' this new I/C will help. I mentioned to dad that bigger tubes might help, he just kinda blew that bit of info off.

Maybe you should turn dad onto our site. You have the sharp red flatbed right?
