I've worked for a Case CE dealer for 13 years. All their dozers, loaders, backhoes and skidsteers have Cummins engines, and I have never seen this problem. Everytime there's a no start, it's a bad shut off solenoid, sucking air in a line, or a bad LP. Sometimes a bad IP.
Just saying.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Well PT you could of had that problem ,but didnt know it. You did say "sometimes a bad IP". You wouldn't have known to check the end cap. The next time you get no start problem and you have done the usual checks and before you pull the pump try torquing the cap. You may have to make a tool to do it or borrow one from a Bosch shop. All I know is Ive done it.
