ACTUALLY, I FIND IT EASIER TO READ, WHEN IN ALL CAPITOLS, AND HADN'T EVEN NOTICED ANYTHING DIFFERENT, EXCEPT THAT I COULD READ IT BETTER.

I DO ALL MY HANDWRITING IN CAPITOLS, NEVER USE THE LOWER-CASE LETTERS, AND HAVEN'T WRITTEN A WORD IN CURSIVE, SINCE GRAMMAR SCHOOL.

Looks like the injection pump drive gear might be a little loose causing minor timing issues.

some genius decided to weld the nut and the gear to the shaft and they had to do this to get it off and get the pump out.

well the whole pump needed to be rebuilt and this is what they had to do to remove the pump...but now the idle is set too high and they have paint marked the whole durned thing so I can't mess with it or my dad will have my head.

Take a file and cut the end of the screw! I can't believe your dad would be upset about lowering the idle! :o
Or option C; buy a paint marker and dab it everytime you adjust it!

Lowering the idle won't void the warranty.

It's the screw that's nearly impossible to reach with the locknut that is impossible to reach.

Look at where the throttle lever on the pump hits when the truck is idling, that is the screw you want to back out.

I have used a flat screwdriver to break the nut loose, then back it out with a small screwdriver. Use the larger screwdriver to tap it back tight again.

DIESELCHICK- I am not old (as in 2 years to hit 30); if I had any feelings, they'd be hurt.
