i understand where your comin from on the bad milage part, but it runs cooler by 100 degrees on the highway (600 degrees) and in tern less heat= better milage?plus the motor sounds like its hardly even working compared to before
The engine doesn't have to "sound" choked down to be hurt by it. You can choke a HE351VE down enough to spool like lightning, and the EGTs are no lower than they were with the stock H1c with the 21housing. Mileage went from 20 , to 14.5mpg. Only real gain I've had from it is cleaning up the smoke a bit. Peak and cruising EGTs really haven't changed either. I can make almost 10psi more boost, but so what.
