Good catch, Enough blowby to pop the dipstick would be a cause for concern  . Low power even?

Where is your TPS? IF it isnt going into OD, that explains why it wont hold 70mph- it's way out of its power band, even if you have 3.54s (and dont even think of 70 with 4.10s). How does it do towing at 45-55mph?

Your timing looks good for towing, daily driving, etc. I'd say check your lift pump output (you can get a banjo bolt from geno's, and plumb in your boost guage to check it fast. Dont leave it hooked up for long, the pulsing will kill the gauge, but you can leave it in for a few minutes to drive it). You will have to go down the road to see if it pulls down under a load.

One thing at a time- get your smoke figured out, then move onto power transfer. Though, 25psi boost sounds good for a 93 with an auto. My mom's only makes about 22psi; pump made 30psi in my 5spd truck (all else was equal), just for a comparison of a stock auto power draw vs a 5spd.

Not all transmission rebuilds are alike. if it was done to stock specs, it still lacks a lot. Not many shops know how to take advantage of a 1500 rpm peak torque.

How many miles are on it? If <300K, I'd say it's not likely to be worn out. Possible, but not likely. On that note, have you had your inejctors checked?

I like the bumper- add a grille guard to it, and I'd put it on my pickup.

One more thing that raises consern for me is your TV cable ain't even close to being adjusted wright
Does it shift very quick, like OD by 28 mph.

Depends on were I have the potentiometer set, I can have it anywhere from 30 to 55, 4.10 gears so about 80 is WFO down a hill anyways.

I guess i need to put one of those on my truck cause i have built a piece of linkage
for the tv cable and it shifts better but still not quite perfict, i have checked my
tps and it works but when i get 1volt or alittle more when i open the throttle it's
puttin out 4.76volts and still dont shift right till i made the linkage thing.
sorry about hijackin your thread.

The potentiometer was for sure the best thing I have done concerning the transmission, y'all have just about got me convinced that a torque convertor is my best next upgrade, I towed again today and when hitting hills the rpm never change, but a whole lotta speed is lost, thanks for all the help so far guys.
