Where to order IP stuff?

Postby RumbleFish » Sat Aug 04, 2007 12:34 pm

So I still need parts for my IP. I need to get a fuel screw and a seal kit. My local place is full of idiots. I called them up and gave them the part numbers, and their reply was something like "oh my, we've never had those before, is this a special pump?" This is the same shop that said they didn't know what a 3200 rpm spring was, but they would put one in for me. Anybody know hwere I can find this stuff, preferably some place that knows what I am talking about.

Somebody said Schied's Diesel could get both parts.

Bosch DGK-121 for the seal kit and Bosch 1-463-402-423(-000) for the fuel screw. (Don't know what the three zero's mean, but they were on the part tag when I got mine...)

Of course, if you call Schied's they probably don't need part numbers...

I called scheids yesterday. I was on hold for 10 mins and then they hung up on me. I figured if they couldn't take a phone call, maybe they wouldn't understand what I needed. I'll try them again monday, but if they continue to have trouble using one of them new-fangled inventions called a telephone, I'll have to go somewhere else.

I think that local Cummins dealers should be able to get the parts from a Bosch distributer, no?

The guys that I got my seal kit, spring and fuel screw from are in some town 40 miles south of Defiance, Ohio... I could pull out their number if you want to drive a little.

Try another fuel shop. There has to be another one someplace nearby. How about Gillette Diesel? http://gdsdieselparts.com/

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

If you could find a name/number for that place, it'd be great. Defiance isn't that far.

Yeah, it was in Columbus Grove.

I guess that means it was "Northwest Fuel Injection", then. I wouldn't think that town'd have two injection shops...

Friendly folks. I was smelling solvent for days after I left, though...

www.haisleymachine.com might be able to get those parts for you. But they are even harder to get ahold of via phone lol. Then they'll probly order them via Scheid lol. Another Hoosier Bosch shop is Turbo and Diesel Injection in Indy, http://www.dieselusa.com/contacts.html 1-800-232-2834.
