AFC line repair

Postby dazedandconfused » Tue Jul 19, 2011 5:48 pm

Well got to nosing today and noticed my AFC line is broke. Anyone want to show pics of how you fixed yours? I have an idea but would like to hear from others.

Quite a few guys go and get plastic air line and push lock couplers. You need to rethread the AFC head to 1/8 inch pipe, but the head is that already. Not a big deal and works better than the stocker that breaks if you look at it funny.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Pete, I don't understand it...

I hooked up, moved, bent, repositioned that little bugger more times than I should have. Never broke on me once...

This is kinda what I'm thinking of doing. After a little messing I've seen someones been in the afc and bottomed it out, turned the pin, and bottomed the smoke screw out. Collar is still on the power screw and I don't think it's ever been messed with.

andy, if you remember where my work is, you can bring the afc top by and i can fix it fer ya using push locks and the plastic air line. i had to do it to mine just because it makes it easy when fulling with pump timing.
