It will be an HE351 yup. Requires changing the turbo to IC piping, adapter for the exhaust and possibly the intake.

Ive read the compressor side might need to be clocked 100 degrees, and that Ill need a 3" - 2.5" IC boot, unless I just upgrade to 3" IC tubes...The turbo comes with an exhaust elbow, what about the bolting to the manifold and running the elctronics?

You can use this so you dont have to clock it. I have one but havent tried to install yet.

electronics only need 12v or you can remove solenoid and cap it,

Can you tell me the purpose of this turbo having power, I dont have the turbo in front of me or else I could prolly tell, is it to control the wastegate or geometry of the vanes or what

ok, after much research, the 12v power is put in place to control the wastegate and its dumping of excessuve boost back into the compressor side housing. Therefore, if I didnt hook up the solenoid, and pinched the line going to the wg, I should get a higher boost number bc no air is being pulsed back into the housing...am i on the right track

Yes, or you can use a boost elbow to restrict the air to the wastegate actuator.

Thanks Biltit, it looks like for an extra $100 or so bucks I can have a better looking, more customizable setup, Thanks for the help

the HE351, with taking the solenoid out and installing the boost elbow

WHICH HE351?
HE351CW or HE351VE (VGT)?

The CW is a vacuum/pressure gated turbo, whereas the VE is electronically controlled with a servo mounted to it.
An '05 should be an HE351CW.

Mark.
