Shut off solenoid

Hey all. long time no have internet:D. so i went and pulled last weekend will ill results. the wire on the solenoid was gettin torqued enough to kill the motor. so im wonderin if anyone knows the thread count of the stud on the shut off solenoid????

It's metric, did you lose the nut? Most people remove (discard) the spade end, and put a ring terminal on the wire. Less chance of it popping off.

wat nut??? mine doesnt have a nut on there. im lookin at puttin 2 nuts on it and puttin an eyelet on it to stop it from wigglin and killin the truck durin 2nd gear launchs on the sled. if anyone knows the threa or wat nut it is plz let me know b4 i go experimenting.

Get any tailgate damage out of that one?

no damage it hit hte reciever not the truck. i just dont like lookin like an ass since im usually the only one that knows wat is goin on. most the time its local boys just coming to see how the farm truck runs.

I went to a bosch dealer down the street from where i work. they gave me a junk shut off solenoid. came to work today and checked the threads. for everyone needin or wanting to know the thread is: M5 x .80. Napa has the nuts for it so im rewiring it tonight to hopefully solve my problem. Thanks for offerin a spare one, since i have this one i think ill be ok. if it acts up again im lookin into a cable pull for it.

Just put the cable on it and pull it. You probably will sooner or later anyhow. :lol:

And then use your solenoid as an anti-theft device. 8)
