problems

Postby keeganquiroz » Wed Jan 11, 2012 12:31 pm

Hey I just put a 3200 spring in my pump. When I started it, it was idleing a little higher than usual.

I tried giving it some throttle and it sounded like it was reving lower the more throtle I gave. If I even tap the throttle it revs really low and sounds like it's going to stall.

Before this I had the pump top off all week waiting for a part. So some of the fuel in the pump evaporated. Just figured that could have something to do with it but I wouldn't know.

As of yesterday it's now idleing rougher and lower than usual and it's making white smoke now.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Is the throttle shaft in the right way? Is the arm on the inside aimed at the head? It sounds like the arm is aimed at the fender and is working backwards, when you throttle it the arm is pushing the the spring instead of pulling it. Usually when this happens they don't run at all, but you may have found a sweet spot . If you want to call it "sweet". ;)

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
