Last night i got rid of my worn factory ball and socket throttle linkage and made a deal out of sweged tube and heim joints. whil messing with it i also reinstalled my 4200 spring and did about a 3/16" timing bump (also has a tooth jumped and pump was all the way retarded).... i tool it out and make a pass down a country road it it got to about 1250 or soo i kow a commonrail it as nothing to see 1800*'s but is 12-1300 hot for a 12v i have coated pistons so that should help.. will more timing help cool it? what do you guys think? also the engine is painted with the good actual cummins brand paint and in the 5xxx or som miles since beeing put back togeather it never even so much as blackened an exhaust runner and after last night all 6 are black..... ok well opinions would be greatly appreciated thanks dj
