INJECTOR PUMP AND INJECTOR QUESTIONS

Postby BIG C » Sun Oct 14, 2007 10:44 am

First let me state that I'm new to the site and fairly new to the 12v cummins.
I have a 92 w250 4x4 ,cc w/ the 5.9 ctd and the 518/618 trans.
I would like to know how I can identify what injectors are in my truck?
And is there a way to tell how much tampering has gone on with the pump? With the pump it is plain to see that some one has messed will the smoke adjustment screw and the powerscrew(?)behind the injector lines.
I know this because the caps are missing.
ANY AND ALL HELP TO EDUCATE ME WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

on the injectors, see if you can find a pn# and cross ref it on the web.

On the pump, see if the lock collar is missing from the power screw, pull the fuel pin out and see if it's been replaced or ground, check the timing mark on the back of the front cover and see how far off the mark it is on the pump.
