4BT question...i know i know.

Postby RCCUMMINS89 » Mon Apr 01, 2013 10:41 am

Does anyone have any idea on what the p/n would be for the supply tube (lift pump to filter head) for the 4bt? The one I would need for the piston lift pump style????????????????????????????????????????????

It would be the same as the one needed to convert the 6bt to a piston lift pump. It's posted on here in 4 bazillion places. Well, maybe 2 bazillion. ;)

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

On a 4bt, the fuel filter is behind the lift pump...... just the opposite as on our trucks.

It's definitely an odd duck, that line.
I have several VE pumped 4bts, but no P-7100 ones left.

I have an ESN you can have for QuickServe and the CPL number for a 4bt with a P-7100 is 1839.

When I call Cummins.... will they be able to use just the cpl? Or will they need the entire vin of the engine?

MOST of the time they will ask for an engine serial number. Sometimes you get a guy who can figure out how to use the CPL.
The number I have here is from an engine that I used to own and parted out.

Yep.... no one can help me with the "engine accessories" without the engine serial number. Wouldn't have that laying around would you?

The only thing they could find in their books was the 4bt with a rotary pump.... poo poo ka choo

Call up Jeff at Mumua Diesel in PA. Real helpful and can look up pretty much everything off the top of his head. No joke.
