index of throttle

Postby ellis93 » Tue Apr 09, 2013 6:19 am

I didn't want to ask this in my smoke tread, figured it would only add to the confusion that it is.

Taco said something about re-indexing my throttle shaft/lever after I posted that I bottomed my fuel screw. What exactly is happening when you do this? I know you would change the position of the lever that the gov spring attaches to,but what happens from there?

No one is answering this.

Essentially for all argumentative purposes it does nothing more than gives a new starting point with the fulcrum lever. It does more but, you'll notice the same affect.

RC I was looking thru this
http://www.dieselbombers.com/1st-genera ... ation.html
And still really dont understand :)

I guess in fact it just lengthens throttle movement, what I don't understand is how it helps the fuel screw any.

Not that I can remember where it was, but I'm pretty sure it was BC that explained this pretty well. Pictures and all.

Unless someone wants to type it all out again you oughta sniff through his post history.

It was here, I just don't remember the name of the topic. I think it involved the fuel screw and the throttle index was brought up after a couple pages.
