Cool! 8) I think $100 is kinda steep, but maybe not!

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

My pump was just fine on The Roo Hunter, so I had no reason to find out what special junk was needed. Though I have a feeling that may change if plumbing the new lp setup doesn't work

Meh I haven't bought it lol. I was just showing what I found, and that they are out there. I just wish I could find an actual repair manual for it,measurements,adjustments...... We have the explanation of the parts of the pump but nothing else.

I used a 12mm Matco (only thing that brand is good for) impact socket and made one with a carbide burr bit.

On a side note....I still have to finish this pump...crap.

There's no way I'm going to puss out. I really like ve's. I'll need a spare pump at some point im sure

Matco is all I use.....Send the broken ratchet in get a brand new on back.....send the broken mirror in get a new one back. So far I haven't found anything they won't take back.

I never had a problem sending things back either, the problem was having to send it in the first place( well in my case leting the tool truck have it back and waiting on a replacement).
I still have one set of 1/2 deep impact sockets from them and a breaker bar/pull handle. I haven't broke any of the sockets of the bar so they stay. The rest have been traded off to the snapon dealer Ive had for the last 6or 7 years. I just won't deal with tools what won't stand up under my hand.
Honestly it's not just matco either, snapon has those plastic handled/steel face dead blow hammers and I bought two a few years ago. 1 32oz and 1 16oz,I used them for everything from driving roll pins to beating out ball joints....the 32oz was warranted 3times before I got pissed and bought some all metal hammers (handle and head all one piece) and traded the snapon hammers for a flex head 1/2" long handled ratchet off the snapon truck. Dude gave me full value for the hammers too. Hard to beat that

Oh and the two mac hammers were exactly half of what the others were.

My dad and brother love their matco impacts. They work better for ball joints than their old snap on ones. I like the matco policy on screwdrivers too. I don't find much difference in initial quality though. Only thing is the matco guy never comes around my shop, so all I've got is snap on, and 1 Mac thing

I like Mac stuff, the Strap On guys all have a chip on their shoulder and Matco seems to cost more. The Mac guys are real down to earth and will work with you, sometimes give you a break on stuff. Too bad none of the bastards come around any more! I buy big brand stuff on e-bay, my buddy gets it warranteed for me, but it takes a few weeks most of the time.

Ellis, after rereading your thread title for the umpteenth time, which are you exploring more, the VE or the moron?
