Probably ^^^ simplified life would be a change of pace but boring I'm sure.

From my own experience here.....make sure that side cover pinches the gasket HARD. Mine pushed out pretty quick with a few hard runs.

What side cover are you talking about? You mean the tappet cover by the injection pump?

That's the one and only. Side cover/tappet cover.....
I actually put little spot welds all the way around the inside flange of mine,glued the gasket (again) and motored on.

A few years ago I got all paranoid because it seemed like everybody had thrust bearings going out. I checked mine and thought I had a ton of end play in the crank. So I put a dial indicator on it and found it was right in the middle of the spec. All that worrying for nothing. :lol:

You too? I did the same stupid thing.

Yeah, it was all standard trucks that were having problems so I freaked out. :oops:
