Was it not working before?

I'm confused. Don't you have a thread in the sticky on DTR about fixing the FSS..

I did the fix as shown on DTR, and it lasted a couple of years. The injectors kept getting bigger, and I eventually trashed the fixed plunger. I've not touched it since (shear unadulterated laziness) and have been using the pull-cable thing for a while now.

I confess, this thread is half sarcasm. ;)

 maybe it's one of those things that starts to work really good just before it flys apart? Better gut drill and tap that for a dual feed!

For a lack of a better way to say this........at times, it is like watching pre schoolers try to teach calculus, and then argue with a calculus professor on how their way is better.

Now, not everybody on Facebook is that way.... but it has its moments.

Once in a while I think about joining Facebook, then I snap out of it. I must be missing out on some sort of drama though. :?: but seriously, if the fss stopped working, then started working again, I would think the tip might be a little gummed up, making it seal and work again.. I am going to gut mine on my "new" motor just for peace of mind. I don't mind a pull cable.

I ground off the rubber tip off with a wire wheel, then found the plunger was too short. I welded a small nut on the end then ground it smooth and put it in. Been working for a few years now. Sometimes it still "diesels" a little when I shut it off, but most of the time it works perfectly.

FB drama, yeah, it's like a car accident happening right in front of you, you can see it, hope to avoid it, but sometimes it sucks you right in. I either don't post if I see it going bad, or if I already have, I quietly sneak away to someplace safe and watch. ;)

Remps, it's a good way to stay in contact with friends, and see what's going on. The groups are ok, but some have trolls like RC said. I've reconnected with a bunch of people I went to school with, and I can stay in touch with my friends on here, see what they are doing and such. The diesel groups are populated with kids that like to oral coal, (I think that means oral sex with black men) and just dumb SOBs who know it all.

There is a guy up by me that designed a steel fss plunger. I could check with him to see if he is still making them.

I don't do Facebook. I call it fake book. I am immersed in a sea of idiots five days a week. Why would I subject myself to that in my free time?

I remember somebody was making them. IIRC they cost a pretty good buck didn't they?

Someone on FB was doing them I think. He kinda faded away though, haven't heard anything about them in a few months.
