Keep in mind when they say the compressor is good for 44 psi, that psia, not psig. You have to add atmospheric pressure to gauge pressure, and divide that by inlet pressure to get the pressure ratio. So 29.3+14.7=44 psi. 44/14.7=2.993, about a 3 to 1 pressure ratio, where the hx/hy compressors push max volume. Also have to add pressure drop across air filter and/or intercooler into those equations.
