aftermarket fuel screen ?

Postby jethro » Fri May 01, 2015 11:02 pm

My engine only has a single fuel filter.(stock) I have installed the 2-nd gen piston pump.
I am wondering if it is a good idea / desirable to add some type of fuel screen unit in the line between the fuel
pump and the tank. I have seen ones for boats and also one made by goldenrod sold at northern too which I think is for using
in the line of a dispensing tank/nozzle when you have an aux off road diesel tank. would that work ?
I would think you would want something with very low resistance to flow- drainable with a quick drain- and something you can
take apart to clean or inspect the screen occasionally.

Any popular units to recommend ?

There's already one for catching big stuff in the tank, if you want more most people add a fass or air dog for the extra filtration

Been running the GoldenRod filter for 48 hours. So far so good. I will update the below thread with progress.
