Ok. A lot of the numbers are self explanatory on the engine ID plate but who can tell me what the # mean like the ref# and the CPL#

The CPL is the "Complete Parts List". You give that number to the Cummins parts guy and he can look and it shows exactly what parts were put on that engine, exhaust manifold, grid heaters, injection pump, LP, all that stuff.
I'm not sure on the reference number though with out looking at it again.
