Power steering lines

Postby 93cummins89 » Sat Jun 06, 2015 8:13 pm

Going to the local orielys or autozone tomorrow to get new power steering lines. Any tips on how to drain the old fluid out and bleed lines with fresh fluid

Throw them on, fill the reservoir, and start sawing the wheel back and forth. I have much more luck picking the front wheels off the ground. Run it side to side, keep the reservoir full, and bump it against the stops at the end of every swing. Make sure your lines are well sealed, my return got loose right where it slips into the reservoir and gave me fits.

update: like taco said jack up the front end and turn the wheel left to right several hundred times. keep the res full and check it often. for a cool and practical look use some of that plastic wire loom to keep the lines from rubbing them self's or anything else
