fuel line clips - how to-

Postby jethro » Wed Jun 17, 2015 10:11 pm

Taking the tank down out of the 2004 f-350 to inspect the inside and re-plumb.
I have the tank dropped down- but I cant figure out how to remove the clips which
hold the lines onto the tank snouts. These catches are the low pressure end- but they don't have an external
tab like the earlier ones. I see some kind of colored insert band inside it- and a small square hole in the side-
but how do I get the thing apart ?
Somebody must know !!!! just not me !

I may be wrong, but I think they are the kind you have to squeeze hard, wiggle the line and pull it out.. Pain in the a$$. If you look closely, you'll see the sides that have to be squeezed for the line to be released.

OK---- Ill try that in just a min.
I did see some little tools that had little sideways prongs which looked like they could depress some kind of hidden internal
catches.......
Will try a squeeze and pull !
Thanks - Tim
