Non w/g hx35 on 93

Postby countrymoparguy » Fri Sep 04, 2015 5:35 pm

I'm looking at a non-wastegated hx35 off a 95 12V. Am I going to need to run a wastegate on it or am I fine to run it as it is? Truck it's going on is a 93 d250 with the g360. Thanks for the help.

If its a stock Hx35 it will have a gated 12cm exhaust housing.

Even if it's not I would not be too concerned about it...unless you don't have gauges. If your IP is mostly stock with nothing more then the fuel pin turned 90*, then I don't think you'll see more the 20-25lbs boost or so.

I recently added a 14cm housing to my motor, and my IP is stock except the rotated stock fuel pin. I'm lucky to see 18-19lbs boost. But then I'm also running a big Power stroke IC, so that will eat up a couple lbs of boost. ;)
