Are you talking about the FSS...(Fuel stop solenoid) ? If you are then you can trim off the top of the mounting bracket....not really needed, and it gives you a lot more room to mess with the FSS. :? :D

I think he means FASS(fuel air separation system) lift pump. I had that same issue when I put my airdog on and I ground a wrench thinner around the jaws until it worked.

Do you have 1 fitting or 2? Pretty sure there should be 2, an adapter that goes into the pump, (use a socket) then a swivel 90* that screws on to that. You can use a regular wrench on the swivel because the adapter raises the other fitting above the obstructions. IIRC.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

yes a FASS. i cant get wrench on the adapter. never thought about grinding down a cheap-o wrench. thought a flare wrench would work but i haven't tried that yet

Take a picture of what you are trying to do so we can get a better idea of what you are trying to accomplish.

I can't see how you are having trouble with getting a wrench on the fuel line...but here's one for ya, why not pull the throttle assembly off the top of the pump? There shouldn't be a need for a flare wrench or anything special, those fittings aren't supposed to be gorilla tight anyways.
