Like flipping a switch, exhaust note becomes much more noticeable as soon as I hit 1750 rpm, is that just resonance in the piping?

If you could find out the tone of sound note, as the engine hits 1750 (measured in frequency, = Hertz), you'd most likely find that number is a divisor of 1750. I imagine in the neighborhood of 125,175,250hz.

Not much anymore. Most of the time I go west to meet up with the other 1st gen fanatics. I used to go someplace south every 3-5 years, but not in quite a while. Unless you count for work, I've flown to Atlanta and San Antonio in 2014.

I was wondering if you'd chime in with something like that Pete. I was going to make some crack about you being lonely, but I don't have any ground to stand on on that front.
