Disclaimer - this motor is on a Dodge frame that's been moved back 4" and I'd now under an international body!
Finally got the turbo and mostly in. Just waiting for the 4" exhaust flange which should be here Moday or Tuesday. and need to figure out how to bolt down the throttle linkage as i installed a 2nd gen intake horn which is the location where the bracket mounts??? After removing the stock turbo the first thing I found when trying to install the new SXE was the exhaust down pipe is two far forward and has to be moved back maybe three inches which for me is no biggie, not sure on a Dodge cab. (After I get the exhaust bolted up I'll get some clearance measurements) On a side note don't EVER EVER use cheap exhaust U Bolts to connect your exhaust or you will end up like me and having to cut your exhaust in half just to get it out. Spend the few extra dollars and get the nice stainless band clamps!
It was a pretty simple swap from the baby h1c. If you tell Eric at the hungry diesel what it's going in he'll send some fittings for the oil supply line and it bolts up. The studs on the manifold also bolt up though a pain in the ass to get to! The oil return line doesn't fit though. Because of the larger setup and the solid return lines. You can buy the newer flexible return line for around $60 online. I chose to cut the line and spliced in some high temp silicon 3/4" hose for now(pictures). Also you have 3 compressor outlet choices. I went with the v flange and bought the compressor elbow of eBay and the clamp from Eric. Just an FYI Eric was very helpful through the process of what I wanted and needed, so thanks. I also installed my 2nd gen intercooler and BHAF during the turbo swap. Which took me a total of maybe 2 hours. Would have been longer if I had the exhaust flange. I'll try to post some pics of what it looks like.
Also if anyone has intercooled a non I/C if be interested to see how you mounted your bracket. That is if you used a newer stock intake horn.
