Yes for the 60mm compressor.....depends on the exhaust housing. I've read several folks didn't notice much going from a 18cm housing (I think that's what you should have factory)to the 16, but if you have a 21cm.....the 16 will certainly be an upgrade.
If your looking for a housing, try and find a 14cm or a 12. The 12cm housing is a choke point if you have a lot of fuel pumping thru your motor while working/towing with your truck, the egts tend to stay high. The 14 is just about perfect.

I had a 60mm on my 93 with an 18cm housing and it was a noticiable upgrade over stock. Runs good with a maxed pump on stock sticks IMO. Plus it sounds real nice.

My 92 has the 60 and a 16 on the hot side. Tamper cap is still on the pump, stock timing, stock injectors with a heavily ground fuel cone and I can run 1350 easy towing heavy. I am sure its better then the stock turbo, but its not gonna save the world.

I ran it with a 12cm housing. It ran pretty good. Maxed out at 1400* at wot, and cruised at 10psi. Now it's gasket matched, gate ported to a little over 1 inch, divider drilled with a half inch hole, and run as a secondary in compounds. Spoolup is slower without the twin scroll effect, but power is up with the 98lb/min charger feeding it

Do the MWE slots make any noticeable efficiency difference?

I've never noticed, but I haven't run a charger without one in 4 years

I did order the 60mm GDS/Wheel and 16cm Housing from BD Power.
Whats a good boost number to have the Max fuel adjust screw at and idle?
I am obviously looking for slight increase in hp/tq
Cheers!

I'd personally want to stay under 40.

I've had mine at 45#+ in short full throttle runs. Popped a head gasket with it.

The GDS unit I have works well.....no turbo bark or ill mishaps. Also no bushing wear/shaft play to speak of in about 30k of running it,truck working/towing.

Did anyone have a hard time taking apart the housings and installing the 16cm and 60mm unit?

The exhaust housing can be a pain. I have a 62 and a 16, took the 16 off and put a 14 on it. What I have always done was put the exhaust housing in a chain vice, take the 2 bolts out that clamp it to the centersection, loosen the others, soak it in pent rating oil, and get in there with a punch as deep as you can on the centersection, pound it out some, should pop free after a few good swats. Then turn it and take the other two bolts out

Going to a 63 on an hx35... I think I'll run the 14, may put the 16 back on depending on drive pressure.
