Anyone try a flexalite mechanical fan? Supposed to be lighter and less drag at high rpm. Gimmick? For around 50 bucks it may be worth a try....

The problem is attaching it to the threaded end on the fan hub...;)

Or attach it to the clutch hub.

Tried that with a big 7 bladed gasser unit once....the fan does not have the "Big dish" required to clear the clutch and put the blades far enough away from the motor to not hit anything. ;)

I don't mind doing some fab but sounds like it may not be worth the effort.
