Well, got my gifts and now can't decide...PODS vs. DDP4's

Postby eyoung429 » Fri Dec 28, 2007 8:43 am

Already have the 366 spring put in, working on the valet changeover. Bought a set of PODs prior to x-mas but opened up the gifts and my family bought me a set of DDP4's....

Anyone have experience with just the ground fuel pin, HX35 mounted in a reg cab dually????

Don't have to worry about the tranny....heads are ringed and have arp studs on a fresh mill. no porting, stocker cam, fuel screw in, cable kill.

Put the ddp4's in and sell the POD's...............or vice a versa...........Probably could sell the ddp4's for more.........?

If i had both in my hand......ddp4's would go in.

If it's a driver> DDP4's

If it's a toy> POD's

The POD's will probably make as much power anyhow. But the ones I ran were nasty.

Are they 4 or 5 hole DDP 4s. From what I understand the 4 holers are about 15-20 more horse than pods and the 5 holers are about 30-35 more than pods. Either of them will make more power and run cleaner than pods.
You get done o-ringing the block or just the head?

Head is o-ringed....not doing the block on this mill. Setting up another block for racing only that will be twins on freeze, that one will be fire-ringed.

This is the set that I received Part: #DDP 899355LPM. They are the 80hp ones, so I am guessing (due to lack of info on their webpage) that they are the 5 hole ones.
